Rittners School Of Floral Design
In Boston Presents....

Wired Water Design #5

Starting to see where we are headed?

The beauty of our glassware is that we can use the pieces individually.

However, we can also feature the component parts together.

As a matter of fact the containers used for Wired Water Designs One through Four were sold together in four sections, each shaped like a quarter of a pie!

By combining the prior designs we end up with a more complex arrangement, one that is visually more complex and far more interesting.

In this case the curly willow that was an isolated design element, now reaches over and connects the rose design with the nigella section. Rose and nigella are two kinds of floral products one wouldn't normally expect to see together in one composition. But that unusual juxtaposition adds to the contemporary aspect of the piece.

Incidentally we call the unity of two or more sections to create a larger piece modular floral art. Modular floral art can be accomplished both with designs in a foam base as well as with designs in water.

For your reference, here are the two pieces made individually.....
