Rittners School Of Floral Design
In Boston Presents....

Wired Water Design #14

Here is another idea for a 21st Century approach to designing with flowers in water media.

Construct several clusters of flowers using whatever materials you happen to have on hand.

In this particular case we've put together a mixed cluster and a cluster of just one kind of flower (carnations). A little bear grass has been added to the carnation cluster for variation and interest.

Tie each cluster with some decorative wire (12 Guage). Be creative. Make the wire into various bends and folds for added interest. In the case of the mixed cluster we've used several colors of wire.

Place each cluster into a separate piece of glassware. We could simply stop at this point with two nice little bouquets.

Let's play with it a bit more, however.......Let's add some additional 12 guage wire in between the two glass vases, linking the two designs.........Several colors are used for contrast and interest.

The effect almost feels like a bolt of electricity between the two individual pieces.....

We could stop at this point, but let's play with it just a little bit more...........

Let's add some wire to the left side of the left container, and to the right side of the right vase, extending the size of this arrangement. This, along with the wires between the vases mentioned earlier, makes what was originally two smaller units, into a rather large sized design.
