Our approach to teaching floral art is funky, dynamic and fun!

We include both classical as well as cutting edge design styles into our teaching, for both approaches are practiced in the field.

Our curriculum has been developed by folks who are not only great floral designers but who know educational theory and practice as well. In fact your staff even includes a doctorate in education, quite unusual for a private school of floral design.....

Because education is our specialty, we know how to teach both the cognitive information and motor performance skills that must be mastered in floral design. We also know how to do it in a way that will be pleasant and fun!

We use the latest teaching techniques and approaches to assure that you will not only learn, but enjoy the process.....

In other words we offer a unique approach to floral art education that is forward looking, progressive and very much "with it!"

At Rittners, our whole philosophy has always been based upon giving people quality & value....To provide the kind of training that one would recommend to family and friends.

This means that we feel that students deserve a well planned & complete program, one that provides a quality, educationally sound approach to floral art instruction.

What we don't believe in is presenting a a piecemeal "a la carte" approach that makes the student keep coming back for more and more design workshops and programs at additional expense. In the long term that doesn't build confidence and benefits the school, not the student.

All of our courses assume no prior background. They start simply but go on to include intermediate and advanced design skills that give you great value, and make them far more practical.

We also believe that you deserve to attend a school where you are a person, not a number. At Rittners we make no claims at training thousands of students a year, nor do we want to.

Our whole approach is to provide a personalized atmosphere, one where the actual owner of the school ( Third generation of Rittners!) is actually one of your instructors--not a figurehead, and where we can get to know you and help you develop as a floral designer.....
